Michael continues to adapt his business to suit the economic climate and is always looking for new concepts and ideas.  If you have a product that you think might work in his store then give him a call.

about

Michael Pooley

Michael Pooley is listed as a top 50 UK florist by The Independent newspaper and has been specifically listed in the Good Florist Guide each year since 1999. When not at his retail store, Twig, or decorating one of his client's properties, you can find him teaching. Michael has expertise in three catagories: floral design, flower arranging and in house floristry training: This is geared towards large multiples and people wishing to make a career out of flowers.  It was for this reason, "Which" Best Supermarket 2017 chose him to train a member of staff in each of their UK stores for their specialist horticulture role. He has demonstrated his skills at the RHS Hampton Court Flower show several times, spoken on radio and his work is often seen in wedding and lifestyle magazines. He has consulted for some of the UK's largest companies and helped numerous students start their own businesses.

Michael's family is steeped with London's Covent Garden trading and started his floral business in 1991 at Greenwich market, selling impulse buy bunches of UK grown flowers. He then went on to create solely for weddings and opened his first retail unit in Clerkenwell, London 1996.  Michael's style is unique and he's known for his creativity, so it didn't take long for him to gain quite an elite clientele, especially from the dance, fashion and design world.  Michael opened his Twig branded store in 2012 in Suffolk's county town of Ipswich. He's a firm believer that anyone with a creative eye and a sensitivity to client requirements, can create beautiful, well designed floristry anywhere.
